UAS (UNMANNED AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS)

COST-EFFECTIVE AND CUTTING EDGE

At every turn, on every project, our team leverages the latest technology to look closer, go further, and deliver real-time site data that historically might be difficult, or even impossible, to map and collect.

Using Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), or “Drones” as they are more commonly referred to, we can provide invaluable analytics to managers and stakeholders.

Using an internal pool of FAA Certified Remote Pilots, our drones can be deployed at any time to serve a wide variety of project needs.

UAS technology provides a real benefit to our clients, as it can be integrated directly into workflows to provide targeted, real-time data collection and output. Site conditions can be more accurately and affordably assessed using photogrammetric products that provide up-to-date aerial imagery for basemaps, visual review and documentation. We also deploy our drones to capture contour lines, 3D surface models, and volumetric calculations. And when conditions are potentially unsafe, drones can also be used as remote inspection tools, documenting site or infrastructure conditions using high resolution photography and videography while providing an added level of safety for field crews.

GIS (GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS)

BRINGING PROJECT DATA TO LIFE

For decades, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology has played a significant role in infrastructure and environmental management, working hand in hand with CAD and traditional land surveying techniques to capture, catalog, and visualize spatial data. Yet only very recently has GIS garnered mainstream attention as a powerful information tool to provide much more than cartographic products to its end-users.

Leveraging the benefits of cloud computing, interactive web applications, mobile data capture technologies, and smart device proliferation, GIS has become a ubiquitous technology proving integral to countless industries in both the public and private sector.

At S+G, we use GIS technology to bring static project data to life, empowering you to make more informed decisions in real-time. By integrating the latest GIS and mobile data technologies with existing CAD workflows, we create dynamic project solutions for enhanced data management, mapping, and analysis.
